Day 44 Canada

Well we crossed the border, a very simple process and we had to ditch our potatoes, but no big deal.
We also managed to have them stamp our passport and remove the USA entry part, this means we will have to re-enter the USA in Alaska, The good part is, we will then obtain another 6 months in USA, this then takes us past our planned departure date of 22nd November.
After the crossing we simply followed the road, the road is a good one and we chose to follow the Canadian 1 to take us through Fraser Canyon.
The scenery is nothing short of spectacular with a big fast running river beside us and views of railways and waterfalls. We stopped as tourists do, to take in some sights and photos.
We found an old suspension bridge on an historic trail; we walked down and across this, as well as managed to see the Rocky Mountain train go past us on the other side of the river.
Some of the trees have been affected by a bug and has killed a lot of the once beautiful scenery, but it is a natural cyclic happening, hopefully it will re-correct itself to return some of the hills to the beauty with the trees healthy again.
We had a couple of "take in the view stops" then arrived at the RV park we are stopped at called, Brookside RV park, Cache Creek.
So here we are re-converted to Kilometres and litres in gas instead of gals and miles.
Ok for Karon, She managed to convert Mandy GPS back to kph (probably to keep a check on Ricks speed) but the height of the Castle has to be converted from 12' 6" to ummmm . gee it gets too hard for the old guy!
We are settled in and will keep you up to date as we can if we get connections at the RV parks.
Onward we go.
