Day 41 Seattle
We decided this morning to have another turn at Seattle, Gee we know the transport system, (well nearly) and the Boeing Factory is north, on the way towards Bellingham, the place the Marine Highway ferries leave from. We are going to explore our options and maybe we could be lucky and pick up a cancelation. If not we will work our options out with the booking agent as to a possibility of parking the RV and returning by ferry from anchorage and flying back up, this way we could experience the inside passage.
Well the trip into Seattle was simpler than yesterday, we caught a bus to take us to the Park and ride turnaround, and then from there into the city, ALL for a cost of $1.50 each, why would you take the castle or for that matter a car?
Dropped off somewhere in the city and headed towards the Space Needle, this is the departure point for the "duck tours"
The Duck tours are amphibious ex-marine vehicles that tour the city as well as a section of the water ways.
The Skipper on the tour was really into giving us a great time with his commentary and change of hats to take on different roles.
It was an informative and fun filled ride.
We are such seasoned travellers now, this was shown with the way we hopped off this tour and looked for a bus to take us Downtown. We alight from the bus holding tight to our tickets because we figured these tickets would assist us for our trip home.
We walked back to the Farmers Markets in Pike St, (this time Rick remembered the Camera)another quick walk through the markets across to the waterfront food places. Fish and chips, Hamburger & chips and a Crab bisque was the fare for the day.
Ok enough we decided, leaving time to have a swim/sauna/shower and washing and if Karon is lucky she was to book in for hair "do"
Yes the bus tickets contributed to our trip home, the cost to have the express ride back out to Bellevue (35 min ride) the extra $1 each was a really good deal!
Well they were "Fully booked" in the hair place, The hair dresser had one person in a chair with at least 6 or 8 other chairs not being used?
Oh well never mind, the swim etc was really great, the washing is on and we are relaxed and dinner cooking, TV working and reports updated, GEE what a wonderful time being alive.
All is great and hope you are still enjoying the trip as much as we are.
No Cameras allowed in the Boeing site so it will be just sight and sound absorbed, just past Boeing are the factory outlets Karon found in her research(how did she find the time?). I wonder which stop Karon is looking forward towards.
I may get a report on that for tomorrow!
