Day 13 - 19th May 2008.
Universal Studios day!
Breakfast and away we go with help from Mandy. Again very accurate and we are getting used to this person telling us how to move "into the right lane" or " keep to the left lane" , "Exit to the right in 2 miles"
We arrived in the car park and paid for premium parking and were given plenty of space for The Castle.
We were in plenty of time but I reckon they were training us to line up because it took 35 mins or more to get into the park.
We headed straight to the Studio tour, and we definitely picked a good day. The crowds were not bad and the lines just were close to nonexistent. The studio tour was changed from the last time the 2nd/ 3rd timers, and wasn't as good, I believe
We did every ride possible and grabbed a couple of pics of some characters as well.
The next section was to the lower lot, Jurassic Park ride was easy to get into and was nice because it cooled us a little with the water hitting us. Nice Ride!
This took us to a ride of the "Revenge of the Mummy"
Gee it was in the dark and yet Karon had to close her eyes, it certainly was fast and back and front but we survived.
From there to go through the back lot and see how they made Backdraft.
Gee it is amazing how they create the illusions for us. It was fun as well as exciting.
Then some lunch and off to the Special effects section. OUR Earnie became a star! He was picked to be a voice over assistant. IF you haven't experienced Earnie speaking as Tinkerbelle then you haven't yet LIVED. YEP Karon and Rick really have seen LOTS now!!
Up the huge long elevator we went to the upper lot section, I would certainly recommend that to take in these attractions on a Monday certainly is worth it, short lines and plenty of time to do it all
We went to the water world show, again great on a hot day. Good show and well done.
We covered the rest of the park and 3D shows and left the park tired but happ we had done it all.
We walked through the area outside the park that is the Universal Walk through a lot of wonderful food shops & souvenir/clothing stores.
We had a cuppa and then reprogrammed Mandy and set off for home.
Swim food sleep.
Catch you out there.
Pictures yet to be posted (it is a bit late and I also at this stage apologise for having to readjust the entries, Still learning the system, Or that is my excuse.)
