Day 10 - 16th May 2008.
Well today we were in no hurry and no great plans.
Firstly head to the bank to see if Earnie's & Karon's bank cards have arrived because at this stage The poor servant (Rick the one with all the jobs!) is the only one that can pay for the huge shopping accounts the other team members run up!!
Unhook the Castle from the utilities, (power/water/waste) Earnie's nominated himself for that job, Then Rick had to train the others in rolling up the awning. (gee another job for Rick Trainer all this without cert iii) Better not report that to the HR department!
We then let the handbrake (actually it is a foot pedal brake!) off and away we roll.
We are getting to know our way around this area without the use of the GPS (Mandy is her name if you recall Fireman Earnies Dream Truck
Fireman Earnies Dream Truck
. And by the way some people will not know but Rick's daughter is named Mandy and her husband's name is Tom. So with a Tom Tom GPS and the voice called Mandy we now have a family connection. SO when Mandy begins to tell us the wrong direction we have decided that TOM and Mandy aren't talking to each other. (I will report if this is the case in Oz and have to inform them to behave because the cyber network and GPS are being upset!)
Well we arrived at the bank and with a car park able to take vehicles about 6ft 2'' our 12' 5'' high castle was going to be a tight squeeze. So  we drove around the corner and found a space alongside a footpath, and Earnie decided to check with some kind folks sitting on the porch if it was ok. NOPE that is NOT the place to park but it is ok to park within about 5' of the corner blocking vision to the STOP sign. He even assisted guiding and directing us in. Go figure but hey we are in America.
Into the bank we go and yes Karon's card is in and so is Earnie's BUT Earnie's name is incorrect they had decided to use a middle name as his surname. Half an hour later we had sorted the correct name and organised to have the card Fed Ex to the Bank in San Diego. (Hope Tom Hanks doesn't take it!!)
We called in to say goodbye to Bridget (Remember our good friend at AT&T) and leave her a souvenir Kangaroo and Oz pen Photo's for Fireman Earnie

.
If you check out the photo of the post for Fireman Earnie you will note that we see that the so called big fire truck Earnie drives is really only a toy matchbox. BUT you will be happy to know that even in America they use their big toys to go to the food shop for lunch. YES I am NOT kidding. So it must be an international thing. They appear to be allowed to use the lights and siren to get through the lights. You can take it from us, it did happen.
Then it was off to another area to find a TV. Using Tom & Mandy we found the shopping centre.
In we go and we now have from Target a 13" TV/DVD player with an Antenna.
Then off we go to a place where Earnie and Rick had been directed to  purchase a Satellite dish and tripod.
A fun time with the universal language (Greenbacks in a Vietnamese shop served by a Mexican whose name was Rikki Ricardo) so the two Ricks sorted out the required equipment and home again via the .99c shop for some more essentials.
Swim and washing done and a baked dinner with chicken, by Karon. YUMMO.
A few calls to some folks back home and then relax and bed.

Happy Birthday
Dear Aussie Travellers

Happy Birthday Earnie. Glad to read that you are all having such a good time. Loved the photo of the big fire truck... Fireman Earnie, i am sure, was secretly impressed, but not likely to admit it. Hope your new TV is working.

Love pip
