This day was spent heading into the city to visit the Hollywood Super bowl and then into Hollywood Blvd.
GEE a challenge for the driver!!
Thank goodness it was a Sunday here and the traffic was travelling at the same speed but only 6 or less lanes and a little more time to consider what Harriet was telling the driver.
Earnie took us to the Hollywood Super bowl and Karon felt we were meant to obtain a ticket.
This proved to be incorrect unless we wanted to have tickets to the next performance of the Philharmonic orchestra presenting Beethoven. This wasn't the case we simply (as most Aussies do) wanted to have a sticky beak at the famous named landmark!

!So we did and took some photos to prove we had been there.
Then guess where the Travellers went next?
They travelled (with Harriet's assistance) into Hollywood Boulevard. Yep Right into Hollywood and Vine st. As the pic suggests.
How is that? (and yet I still get a hard time for being a Kiwi born and bred!)
So we all complain about the cost of parking for the day just off the main drag yet proceeded to walk along the pavement with a lot of stars on the pavement.
The walk was interesting and some really wonderful people just "being themselves" or whatever character they chose to portray.
We managed to obtain a photo of Karon with a couple of her friends as well as some of the hand prints in the pavement.
We also found a sandwich place and they asked Karon if she was paying Cash? (we are still working on the reason for that question. Might be a culture differentiation J )
We chose to take the double decker bus trip around the city that took in the sights and streets we only hear about in movies or the penny rags like New Idea etc
Just to say we were here!
.We started at on Hollywood Blvd outside the Chinese theatre. (the hand prints and Oscar red carpet place )
Down to Sunset strip with a commentary along the way outlining the night clubs and palces a lot of famous legends have started out or played.(talk about a trip down memory lane!)
The through Beverley Hills down Santa Monica Blvd. (who can forget Beverly Hills Cops?)
Next street was RODEO drive and of course we had to tie Karon in her seat to negotiate this one. I am sure she figure Richard Gere would pick up the tab as he did for Julia Roberts. (I can assure you Rick The Chauffeur and scribe was NOT going to play that game!!)
We managed a pic of the hotel entrance and hopefully Karon will be satisfied she is a "pretty Woman" with that one anyway. (here's hoping!)
We were then taken down some more highlights and around some of the famous tv/film studios such as CBS and Paramount.
We had a stop over for some yummy( again not listed on the weight watchers diet) food.

Eventually dropped back to the start point.This enabled us to take a blurry photo (battery thing again!) of the famous sign and because we are so nice some kind person took the photo (in exchange for us taking theirs!)
Then it was time to go home.
A few phone calls via the skype. (I really encourage everyone to download this feature because it enables us to talk clearly to anyone at very little cost.
We managed to talk to Mandy and Nicole (whom I reckon appear to be watching when we 'go online" ) hey we are happy to have the ability to keep in touch and really love you guys.
Karon helped the scribe to at least get some order of events happening and if you check the entries now we have managed to get the Disneyland adventure onto some chronological order with photos included.

End of the day was again 12pm our time.

Mum if you are in charge of the GPS, tell rick and pop that you are all going to do some sight seeing. Than program the GPS to take you back to Rodeo drive. They won't know the difference.

Now Sarah that is not very nice attempting to have your mother mislead us like that!
Now we will have to double check the GPS settings.

Come on A womens got to have girly time and the best way to do that is with SHOPPING. If it builds up you are only asking for a BIG payment later on, and thats when you will really suffer. Mum knows where the good outlets are.
