End of day two now.
Gee and to update from yesterday.
We all know that Rick is challanged but add to his normal challenges to attempt to ensure the technology stuff runs as well as write the updates could be a stretch :)
I did so well (I thought AHAH! there is the mistake I started thinking!) but then when I went to upload the info yesterday, it didn't load.
So rewrite this morning while the fellow travelers were waiting and then upload it to again lose it!! oh boy, add to that the cordless mouse thing gave up I was challanged :)
so I will attempt to retrieve some of the "after we arrived" bit from LA airport to Anaheim.
Not far on the map but gee it was a giant leap for mankind!!
We found our way to the pick up point for the shuttle to pick up the car. Not challenging.
Then obtaining the "midsize" vehicle Dodge ( about commodore size) and Rick decided to hire a Garmin navigator)
Leaving the office to find the car itself was the next challenge.
Many lines of vehicles and we were not given a rego number just told to find a midsize.
OK at this point the navigator was no good but we wandered around in three differant directions until we found a vehicle that fitted us and was a "midsize"
Leaving the rental depot with THREE navigators was definitely a challenge.
The ensuing discussions or comments between Earnie and the electronic member of the party became a little challenging for the Driver and he had to ignore the electronic version.
It still was a reasonable challenge being directed to take the next road north/south/east or west without a clue which way was which and Rick's trusty Thai compass locked in the trunk in the suitcase. Combine this all with about anywhere up to 5-6 streams of traffic all believing they were in the grand prix was a lot of fun.
But hey we made it to the hotel as you can now see.
After booking in we found the big golden arches for a tea and coffee break with a chicken wrap or chicken burger.
Next stop was to AT&T and we found a wonderful young lady Bridget, and her assistance in establishing us with a telephone connection and an internet connection via the USB was so nice.
The world is a better place with people like Bridget that understand the concept of customer service Thank you Bridget.
Back to the hotel and another cuppa and bed time after a 32 hour day we slept.
We continue.
