I left Daniel's and Tanah Rata for the second time and caught the bus to K.L. That bus took an hour longer than it should have done and we arrived at Puduraya bus station at 3 or 4pm. It was going to be one of those wasted days since I just wanted to get to Singapore. Last time I spent a night in K.L. in transit I went to the cinema. I considered doing it again before remembering today was Valentine's day so the cinema would be swarming with self-satisfied couples! In my dorm I met a few of the lads from the Cameron Highlands so we got some food and beers together. I went along with their food recommendation and ended up having a bowl of chicken feet soup placed next to me - nice! I didn't eat that and the claypot chicken and rice wasn't up to much either. Later on I would sneak go and grab a McDonald's with Andy, another lad from Daniel's lodge.
Chinatown in K.L. is looking lively as the place gears up for Chinese New Year on the 17th. There are queues everywhere for food and provisions and red has become the dominant colour in shop windows. I'll be in Singapore for Chinese New Year so I'm sure there will be something to see.
