Day 53

I really didn't do a lot today. While everyone else were talking of heading out to a nearby mountain I was considering staying at the guesthouse and chewing the cud. In the end the others ended up going to some nearby hot-springs - that sounded much more appealing but I refused their invitations and stayed back. I was feeling a bit moody I suppose - don't know why but we can't be spritely all the time! Not even watching "A Fish Called Wanda" again in the video room managed to cheer me up so I took a walk to the nearby lake to have a look.
The lake was a very suitable mix of dark colours under an overcast sky. It was impressive nonetheless and the walk through some alleys to find the non-touristy jetty was interesting too. I walked the same way back and kicked a few stones along the way.
By early evening the group still hadn't come back from the hot-springs and I was regretting not going. I imagined them having a wonderful time swimming at the pools with the alcohol flowing and good food being served up. Still I'd made my bed and it was time to lie in it so I got an early night. Steve and Melissa woke me up at about 10.30pm with their digital cameras in hand showing me all the fun from the hot-springs! Bugger. More thumbnails ...
