Leaving Guatemala was time for another of those epic bus journies, this time a two day ride to Nicaragua with a one night stopover in San Salvador, El Salvador. We got in to San Salvador at about seven in the evening and left at about six the next morning so I didnīt get to see a whole lot of it. From what I did see it seems like a really nice place but I know that we were staying in the exclusive part of town where the few people with money live. Apparently the rest of it is very poor but I quite like the part we stayed in, some nice bars and restaurants with friendly people.
