Arriving in Siem Riep at the end of a long day everything started to pick up. We were dropped in the centre of town where a helpful motorbike driver Wee offered to take us to any hostel we wanted. He showed us a pretty good one with friendly staff so decided to take this.
Wee then suggested that he be my moorbike driver for Angkor Wat the next day. Since I only had one day and he seemed like a reasonable guy I aggreed. It was to be a 5am start in order to get to Angkor Wat in time for sunrise!!!
Early the next morning it was pretty cold in Siem Riep. We sped off on the scooter in the direction of Angkor Wat.

It was still dark when we got there but the place was full of tourists on the back of scooters. The doors opened at 6 and we walked around in the dark for a bit and then waited for the sun to come up 01

Angkor Wat is the biggest of the temples and we saw that one first. The most impressive one was actually the one that was in ruins and had the jungle growing in on it. By 1 o'clock I had had enough of temples and decidedd to call it a day. A lot of people buy a three day pass but half a day was enough for me. On the way back the scooter got a puncture from the dodgy roads but luckily we weren't too far from a road side repair shop where a seven year old kid fixed the puncture.

Walked around Siem Riep a bit later and then just chilled out back in the hostel as would be getting the buss to Pnom Penh the next day.
