Where I stayed
Cheesequake State Park Campground, Site 8
Having climbed the hill again through the pretty town of Little York, we found route 22 which was perfect for getting in some quick miles. 20 down and things were very relaxed. We then started to hit the built up areas and struggled our way through several towns including New Brunswick which was particularly hectic. We found ourselves filtering onto some seriously busy roads and without the comfort of a hard shoulder at times it was too hair raising.
The second part of the day was filled with noise and speeding traffic
It is another beautiful park (slightly ruined by a major highway running through the middle) where we can enjoy our final night at camp. We are both exhausted and feeling pretty strange about the next few days. Tomorrow morning is an early start to cycle 18 miles to The Atlantic Highlands where we will of course see the sea after 2 month but also catch the boat up the River Hudson into Manhattan. The plan then is to spend the afternoon cycling around New York City to catch some sights before resting at Jazz On The Park for the next two nights. Wow, it is almost all too much!
Miles Cycled: 60 for the last long day of cycling
Number of Times beeped at sworn at: once and Polly wanted to rip their heads off!
