After a couple of great but sweaty days in Singapore it was time to hit the beach. We set off to an island off KK for a spot of snorkelling.  G and I left the details to the girls so when we realised we had left the snorkels back at the hostel it was only fair that they made the walk back.  When they appeared 20 minutes later covered in sweat we felt a little guilty, especially as it turned out that the snorkels were already on the boat.

A very speedy ride out dropped us at the less crowded of two islands.  It was a good spot and the underwater life was fascinating.  We dived with fish of different shapes, sizes and colours.  In between we tried to write Giles' best man speech, most of my jokes however were ruled out as inappropriate.  A good long lunch followed by some more splashing around in the shallows and it was time to load back on to the boat for the ride back to stinky KK.

The evening started with the longest sunset which allowed us to take about 600 photos of the changing sky.  We then ventured into the night market which was as entertaining as any Asian one of its kind.  We had some good food but then discovered an amazing Philippine BBQ which left us a little disappointed that we had not held out a little longer.  Next time.

Back at the Rainforest Café to enjoy some more of the horrendous smells we played some pool.  The locals were engrossed by our sharp shooting which ended in a very satisfying 2-1 victory for The Nevilles (sorry G, had to get that one in!)
