Today was another one of those wonderful beach days when we did so much lying around that there is not much to report on. Breakfast was lovely with Dan and Claire, fresh fruit salads all round. We then all hit the beach hoping to further our kitesurfing education.  Polly got going learning how to set up the kite and leads but for the rest of us it was a long wait hoping that the wind conditions would pick up.  It was not too much of a chore to sit around in such a beautiful part of the world.

We diverted for lunch at the very impressive Mr Tams café but still, even after lunch, the wind was not strong enough for learning.  So it was back to the sun lounger for some reading.  Even Dan spent half an hour reading up on the Vietnam War.

The evening was a repeat of yesterday without the fish fighting.  Instead this time we went mad on the calamari and white wine.

Hopefully tomorrow the wind will pick up and we will all get out on the water.  Not a bad day nevertheless !

Was way behind with your blogs so have just journeyed through the ups and downs of Vietnam. Such good reading and such a journey. Glad to hear you're relaxing and having a holiday with Dan and Claire. Love and best wishes to all. Betty

So good to hear you today! 78 miles and no supper at the end seemed a very low point even if you managed to cook some pasta in your room. Think we ought to send out the Barnett Catering Corp to be your camp followers. My cousin Tony and his wife would love to see you in NZ and welcome you to the Timpanu Hilton - they are inSouth Island and south of Christchurch.

There is the two of you cycling around the world and here is poor CJB cycling to the Sailing Club for a swift Saturday half and whose bike got wrecked under the wheels of a car? All I can say is that I'm bloomin' releived it was only the wheel of the bike and not CJB's legs or head! Still it seems no permanent damage done (to himself - the bike is a write off) so put that one donwn to experience.

As you can imagine those Stortons are getting pretty excited about moving - the only reason I can see for this is to expand the family but apparently that is all very much in the future- and also to my mind it would be perfect symentry is Amanda and Dom bought Williams Road but apparently that would all be to happy ever after!

Hope you guys all have a final great meeting up before Dan and Clair fly back and you have the great excitement of meeting up with Giles and Charlotte and all those orangutans (not sure of spelling there!)

All love to you both Jojo and Christopher

Great to speak to you and to hear you will be joining up with Dan and Claire again. Dads has been very busy with roller, on the lawn, in the garden - not to flatten and attend to the grass but to apply saiil dressing to the topsail and to leave a nice rust colour edging to the Lawn! We both sat out there yesterday, sewing away at the huge rips made by the wind. The sun shone on us, we must therefore be pretty righteous! Hopefully, the topsail will dry overnight and the reverse side and maybe some of the mainsail will be done tomorrow.
As, I said we had the most lovely first charter yesterday when we took a charming family with their widowed mother out to the Mary Rose buoy and scattered their much loved naval father's ashes into the sea - a very fitting end to a really full life.
Off to London in the morning to finally debrief Annie and Lynn on the famous wedding! I think Nick reckons to pass on that one.
Tons of love you two and take care on those bikes xxxxxxxxxxxx

Adrian has just rather resignedly said to me that we really do need to eat at some point in the next few millenium and is there any chance I can stop reading the blog and start ordering food as this is what I'm supposed to be doing. Would rather go hungry and read blog. Am dreaming of white beaches, blue sea and warmth. G & C came round yesterday afternoon and were v excited about upcoming trip to Borneo. We are also excited about potential new neighbours! Sounds like you've had wonderful time with Dan and Claire. Seeing Trig for bridge on Wednesday. Hoorah. Any back to boring old food shop. Masses of love to you bothX
