. He then insisted on pancakes, concerned that we need beefing up for the journey ahead. Believe me, after all the croissants, bread and cheese through France, that is well in hand. We went for an afternoon stroll, Muneera hoping that some exercise may encourage the baby, it didn't happen. We got back to paradise, Man U vs Liverpool on the television ( Man U won 3-2 with a stunning hatrick from Berbatov which included an over head kick). Sid then treated us to fish and chips Swiss style, the guy thought we were nuts when we showered our chips with vinegar. Whilst waiting we watched a drunk old lady fall around in the street and reveal far too much for someone of that age. Appetite not ruined, we took our fish and chips and returned to the campsite as Muneera was now feeling a little shaky. Due date tommorow! The fish and chips overlooking Lake Geneva with a carton of vino blanc was a magical moment. After dinner we met another two cyclists, a Californian called Ross and a Kiwi called Nikki. They had been cycling around Europe and had been living in Brighton for 2 years. After 'small world and all that ' chat we hit the sack. They were good company, and like the couple earlier in the day, Celine and Sebastian, they were at the end of their journey. We are still very much at the beginning and went to sleep after another wonderful day.
Woke up this morning to the sound of the waves on the lake. Beautiful sunshine and we ate our breakfast surrounded by cheeky ducks who were wandering all round our stuff and even trying to get in the tent. Late last night a couple arrived who have spend the last year and 2 months cycling the world on a very similar route to ours - couldn't believe it. They have two days left in their journey until they return to their home in the mountains here. We spent a long time trying to get as much advice as possible of of course, and interestingly Turkey was one of their favourite places and one of the biggest problems they had was dogs chasing the bikes in places like Thailand, Turkey, Greece etc. Heard from a text that Pompey lost 1-0 again, still bottom of the league. The waves on the lake are pretty big this morning, it really does look more of a sea. We spent the day at Sid and Muneera's new place just outside of Geneva called Coppet. It is a gorgeous place, complete with underground parking and wine cellar. Sid (the Feeder) cooked us scrambled eggs on toast ( a taste of home on a Sunday morning )
