Cycling is very tiring it turns out and we woke up at 8am after 10 hours lovely sleep. The tent is so warm, and the Neo airs Dan (best brother in the world) got us are amazingly comfortable. Took a long time to pack up, but we felt very happy and lucky as we cycled off through gorgeous countryside to Juno Beach, tought hills but we have worked out that in 1:1 and going very slowly its not to bad. It began to rain again after an hour but thats also ok if you put your millets 5 pound mac on straight away and keep cycling to keep warm. I fell off my bike (again!) in Langrune sur mer because i forgot to unclip my feet from the pedals. At least I didn't cycle into the back of Mikey which I did before. After a hot chocolate and grignettes in Courselles sur mer we pedalled on in the rain to Benoville where we crossed Pegasus Bridge. 40 miles in, feeling fine. We then went on to Argeus where I went into the town hall and met a very nice lady who rang everywhere in the surrounding area looking for a b and b for us to stay as she told us there are no campsites away from the coast - oops! She couldn`t find 1 so we stocked up in a supermarket and preparde to spend night 2 in a field. LUCKILY after cycling 20km to the next town, there was a sweet little cheap hotel open so we didn`t have to. Very nice to not have to put the tent up after cycling 65miles. We even had a wander round the town before a cheese board at the hotel and bed.
