Woke at 8.30 after another 11 hours sleep! We are getting much quicker at packing up the tent so it didn't take too long to do that and drink our coffee and eat our frankfurter baguette. Cycled in the sunshine on a fast road through dense forest until  a ruined chateaus appeared and we we in La Ferte Vidame. Stopped for coffee and to get our water bottles filled up. (Every bar has been great about doing that.) Met a man who had sailed round the world in his youth. Our target for lunch was Chartes until we saw a sign saying 47km. We cycled till 2 when we had to stop at a supermarket for food. It was shut but luckily the cafe wasn't and we ate the most enormous baguettes and more chips. Made another friend, Patrick from, Barfleur who was very excited about our trip but had had too ,uch wine with his lunch to give us much advice. We could see the Cathedral across the fields as we cycled on and depite getting used to the traffic in a big town, it was very exciting to be there. It felt like we had made real progress on the map. We had to go into the Cathedral separatly to look after the bikes, but it was worth it. The stained glass is incredible. As we had already done 48miles we decided to go to the closest camsite on our tourist map. It took 20mins to negotiqte the traffic out of town and into the nearest village, where after muxh searching the campsite turned out to be shut. Had to cycle another 20miles on very tired legs to Voves. The tourist map told us there was a campstie there - it lied. There was a very nice hotel however and after 73mile swe were extremely pleased to snuggle up in a room with ensuite, free wifi and television and nothing to do! It was fantastic to read all the messages on our blog xx

Hey, I've found you! Don't laugh but this is the very first Blog I've ever seen let alone sent a message. After my mobile phone another step into the technical revolution. Terrific achievement; my legs ache just reading it. I'm worried about you falling off your bike all the time Polly, you remember I did suggest a tricycle. Glad you have the Goons with you! Thinking about you, take great care. X

25 miles from geneva, using free wifi as an excuse to have a burger in macdonalds at 11 am! Can't wait to get there, see friends and sleep in a bed. Worst shower in the world at campsite last night so we are very dirty and sweaty from crazy hills. Will be updating blog tomorrow as we enjoy our first rest day in geneva.

Have a great well-earned rest! We are all thinking of you and following blog with baited breath. Back here in little old England we did the Boat Show on Monday - really an excuse to have a slap up lunch and today CJB went to the Goodwood Revival suitably dressed in cravat, sports coat and brouges - he doesn't have to try too hard to look vintage! George had his leaving party (from Dauntless) on Alice yesterday which looked great fun from pictures and Mums and Dads have got Fat Face all next week for photo shoots - all very exciting. Will be baby sitting that georgeous baby tomorrow so will sharpen the needle so we can wake him up when E&G have left!
All out love Jojo and Christopher

Hi lovelies! Loving reading about all your adventures, do hope you've had a good rest today. The weather in Cornwall has been cold but lovely today so we've had a nice walk along the coast and I've attempted some artisitc photography but fairly sure that it'll turn out rubbish! At least after the walking we felt we could justify fish and chips on the beach this evening. It's a hard life!
We're going out for a nice lunch with Andy and Mel in Rock for an early birthday treat tomorrow, then of to Paris to Thursday for some city sophistication then funand frolics at Disneyland! That is all French Air Traffic Controllers strike permitting...
I thought of you yesterday Pollen when Chris Moyles was playing his wonder years, and distressingly Macy Gray came on...your favourite from back in the day!!
Lots of love (and I do hope your bum blisters have healed..) xxx
