After living on the road for a few days you begin to really push the limits of what you consider safe cruising speed. (Safe, as in not likely to get pulled over) Basically we're gradually getting closer towards the speed of sound.
A few hours after we left El Paso, we were playing follow the leader. De Luca was driving the Jeep and Ysni was behind the wheel of the Blazer. As we came over a hill, a trooper booked both of us. Luckily we were only doing 92 at the time. Since we all had Canadian drivers' licenses the sheriff made us drive back 15 miles to the last town we passed to buy some money orders and pay the tickets on the spot. At least we got some photo ops out of it.
Bryan has a buddy living in Austin whom we stayed with for a couple of days
With a huge U of Texas campus in the city, Austin has a major league party scene. All of the bars are located along a main street and they were celebrating their own version of Mardi Gras during our visit. Lots of beads and great looking women.
We ate alright too. The highlights being a barbecue truckstop and a pizza joint just off of the main campus.

Yeeha! Me, Xavier, Bryan, De Luca, and Ysni
. It was a nice break from several days in the car. While there we had to replace the Blazer as the service engine light had come on. The rest of the trip will be completed in our good old Cherokee and an Isuzu Rodeo. With a huge U of Texas campus in the city, Austin has a major league party scene.
