I realize that most of our family and friends have never seen where we live. A year ago, we moved to Herzogenaurach, Germany for Chris' job with adidas. This village is over 1000 years old!
It is actually a fairly large village due to companies such as adidas, Puma, Siemens, and Ina being based here. Also, because of this, it is fairly international and most of the Germans know at least a little English. Yet, it still maintains a great deal of it's original charm.
We love it here. The lifestyle is slower and very family oriented. The streets are cobblestone, everyone rides their bikes or walks to the market, to fruit stands, etc... and kids as young as 6 years old walk or ride their bikes to school ALONE!
I know I've said it before, but I say it again....Life is GOOD!
P.S. Don't have many photos, but will add more soon!
