Where I stayed
We got up nice and early this morning around 6:30am took our showers and made it to Country Waffle in time to visit with our special weekend waiter, Jose de Jesus Topete who graduated from Los Medanos College on Friday. We wanted to be sure to remind him we would not be seeing him for 2 1/2 months ( we didn't know at the time it would be over 3 months).
After attending the 10:00a.m. Mass at The Church of the Good Shepherd we went over to see our favorite Deacon, Ken Wedge. The First step on our trip is having our Deacon, join us in Blessing our car for the trip so we would feel safe in God’s hands. Deacon Ken and his wife, corky also prayed over us for our safety too.
Deacon Ken, Corky and their cute little dog Maggie (Mary Magdalene) have become great friends and we will be missing them very much while on this trip
After enjoying a light tri-tip lunch with them we came on home. Dave ran to the store to pick up a few items for the trip and I got the wedding gift for Brittani and Raj, which still needed wrapping, as well as a gift I made for my granddaughter, Mary. She finally graduated from High School and I sent her a little something special in mail. I logged into this website and downloaded pictures from the blessing of our car and then continued to decide what I would wear on the trip. We are only planning to take 7-8 days worth of clothes. Heck were in the U.S. we should be able to find Laundromats everywhere.
I hope all of our friends will enjoy our Blogging and pictures. Please come back often and leave a comment so it will become a lasting memory in our vacation book
God bless the our friends, Ken and Corky for always being there for us.
