Well I finally did it. I graduated from college. These past two years have been outrageous. This was great experience for medical school. I tackled four years worth of science in two years. All this hard work culminated on Mother's Day (May 13th). In attendance: Mom, Dad, Grandpa, Papa, Nanny, Melissa, and the Beckster. It was a memorable time with friends and family.  It was a bitter sweet occasion. I have grown very close to many people during my reign at Heidelberg College including friends, administrators, and professors. Saying goodbye to several close friends was most difficult while greeting the future came with ease. Attacking the future is my only option! I earned a bachelor's of science degree in Public Relations with minors in Biology and Chemistry. Now, it's finally time to take a moment and relax......

OK time's up. I forgot to mention that I take the Medical College Admission Test (MCAT) in less than eight days. YIKES! Although I took four very difficult comprehensive exams just 1 week ago in order to graduate, I have a much more challenging and important exam to take in just a few days. This exam will determine where I go to medical school. A good score gain me acceptance to my school of choice and a poor score will result in attendance to one of my safety schools. I guess at the end of the day I will eventually be a doctor, but I like to aim high. I don't like to settle. Nothing but the best and no regrets, right? I guess that means nothing but studying for the next few days. The journey is still unfolding. More to come.

Hello, Phil--

Enjoyed the 1st few installments of your pre-travelogue, pausing after the 4th tonight. When I read the Stow dateline I had to draft a greeting to post in the morning. I'm originally an Ohio kid but hadn't been back for 50 years, until 2 years ago. I helped a younger relative move (from So. Cal.) coincidentally to Stow where he now lives, and teaches at Kent State. Great to hear from you! I'll try to post as much as I can. I will not have regular internet access so it will be hit or miss. Thanks for reading!
Take Care!
Love,
Phil
