Today will be a quick entry.  We got back to the room late after a very fun evening with our niece, Lori and her wonderful family.  Her Mom, Cindy who I have not seen in over 15 years came along and it was great to see her again.  Lori's husband, Rob is a great guy and they have the cutest son, Trey who was just a kick.  Rob's folks joined us for dinner and we all had a very nice time.

The ride was uneventful today except for ton's of rain.  It really was beautiful country as you cross the western side of West Virginia, eastern Kentucky and into Tennessee.  Unfortunately, much of it was obscured by torrential rains.  We had to stop three times to wait out the really strong rains but ended up riding through most of it.  All our gear is wet but we will be ready to go again tomorrow (despite pretty wet forecasts for our planned trek).  The good news is that it continues to be cool but not cold.

A few days ago I mentioned that we had missed Ohio since we diverted to get to Niagara Falls more quickly.  Well today we managed to pick up Ohio by taking a more northerly route west from Morgantown West Virginia and were able to check that State off the list and well as Kentucky and Tennessee. Tomorrow on to Florida.

Today we rode 442 very wet miles.

Re: Get dry fast!
We're going as fast as we can! It is pretty nice here tonight (St. Augustine) at 87 and about 98% humidity. A little foreign for us desert rats. We'll be home soon!
