We made great time to Montreal and got through this very large city without any real issues. Traffic was heavy but never stopped. Bill from our CMA chapter suggested we avoid Montreal and we were pretty nervous but wanted to take the most direct route possible to Madawaska. It actually worked out well but Bill's advice was good since Montreal is a big city with pretty complex highway systems. I'd never want to be there at rush hours.
We headed toward Quebec and the highways were very good. We did hit a short patch with "highway snakes". If you're not sure what those are, ask a biker friend or e-mail me. They are not fun!
Our hotel in Montreal is great and very biker-friendly. The staff is great and the room very nice. The view is not nearly as good as last night but out front of the hotel, there is a nice view of the bridges entering Quebec City.
For those of you praying for our good health and safety, keep it up! We are both feeling great and have not had any close calls or anything. We continue to have a good time and are blessed everyday. Yesterday a guy at a fast food restaurant tapped me on the shoulder and said, "I like your uniform, God Bless You". I will never ride without my CMA colors again. I get more blessings that I could ever give.
Today we rode 585 miles and have now ridden over 5570 miles since we left Las Vegas. Tomorrow we expect to hit Corner 3 at Madawaska which is just 180 more miles east. Then we head south for Key West!
God Bless you all,
