Where I stayed
We had a very nice dinner at Benihana's restaurant and shared the table with some very friendly folks that were doing business, not much business though so it was good conversation and we had a good time.
We realized today that we started this adventure on Paul's Dad's birthday and finished it on Barb's Dad's birthday so we did this whole thing on Eldon's birthday. (See both of our Dad's have the same name.)
They have chickens here in Key West, I saw one crossing the road today and it reminded me of a bad joke. By the way, why did the Texan chicken cross the road? To prove to the armadillo that it could be done.
The ride to the Keys is a challenge, it is about 145 miles with little opportunity to pass anyone so it was a little frustrating to be so close to finishing and to have to be patient on the ride down, but we finally got here and now we can enjoy some down time here and with Barb's folks this week in Zephyrhills, FL
We didn't see any alligators on the highway but Barb did see a rather large Iguana trying to cross the road, That should have some kind of a punchline attached to it too but it is late and it was a long day so it will have to wait for another day. I know you are all very happy to hear that.
Today we rode 492 miles, for the four corners trip, 8164 miles and from the time we left Las Vegas, 8576 miles. It has been a lot of fun so far!
We will continue this Travel Blog until we get back home, although we will probably take the day off tomorrow.
Please continue to keep us in your prayers.
