...in Winslow Arizona, I'm such a fine sight to see.  It's a girl, my Lord, in a flatbed
Ford slowin' down to take a look at me.

On our way to the Petrified Forest, we stopped in Winslow, Arizona.  And,yes, we did see the infamous corner of the Eagles song (Take It Easy) where they have since erected a statue of a musician standing in front of a mural of a girl in a flat-bed Ford.  How could we not stop?

We also had a great lunch at the historic La Posada Hotel. La Posada is supposedly the last great railroad hotel, built by Ann Coulter (the famous southwest architect) for the Santa Fe Railway in 1929.  It closed in 1957 but was bought, restored and reopened in 1997.
