Heading northeast from Mesa, our first stop-over was at an NFS campground in the Tonto National Forest.  After weeks of relatively luxurious camping at an RV resort, it felt good to get back in a more primitive setting.

The main attraction here was the Tonto Natural Bridge, which is believed to be the largest natural travertine bridge in the world.  We did three short hikes to view the bridge and nearby falls.

A scenic one-night stop on our way to our next main destination.
