No art was bought since we currently have no storage capabilities and are saving our money for our travels (and eventually our retirement home), we thoroughly enjoyed daydreaming about which art we would buy if we could.
On the way back to Tucson, we stopped to visit the San Xavier del Bac Mission. It is a beautiful example of the Spanish mission architecture that was prevalent in Mexico and southern AZ's earlier history. A National Historic Landmark, San Xavier Mission was founded as a Catholic mission in 1692. Construction of the current church began in 1783 and was completed in 1797.
