The same taxi driver who brought us here, mr stop and go, came to pick us up. However the drive was prettier this morning than at 3:00 AM.

The embarkation area  is a surprise.  No Starbucks or WIFI.  The only signs I could translate said Passport Control and Port Police.  I guess that was enough.

And as you can see this is quitea  different ferry this time.  On the Nissos-Chios the stewards wore white shirts and black pants and vests.  This guy is barefoot. He also served coffee after leaving port.  Very thick, needed lots of sugar.

Breakfast today was jelly sandwiches which Laura had prepared from the table the night before and a couple of oranges.

Anyway it was pleasant voyage over and lasted only about an hour.  This is the first time either one of us has had a visa stamp in our passport.  It is kind of like a fancy postage stamp.

Ismail is our driver.  His driving is better than his English but we are having a good time communicating.  He is describing crops and features along the 3 hour drive to Kusadasi.  We stopped for lunch at Turkish truck stop(I think).  Turkish roads are pretty good too.  4 lane and divided.  Izmir has modern mixmasters and LED highway warning signs.

Interesting twist on dinner tonight.  Dinner and breakfast are included however one has to pay for water and coffee.
