So having cancelled our Uncle Brian's tour, we took today as a day to just sleep, rest up and attempt to get better. We both felt really rubbish so it was nice to have a lie in and some quiet. We went for breakfast around 10am and then came back and went back to bed and I slept I till about 1pm. It felt really good to have a complete rest day where we had no obligations at all.

After waking up I started to get ready and Jennie came back from Woolworths having done a little shopping. I had a shower and then went out to buy us some dinner and also look around for presents for people. Whilst out I had lunch in the food court and had a Mango Chicken curry with rice and a poppadum from Curry D'Lites. I bought our dinner of some kangaroo steaks, a few potatoes, and a courgette to fry.

Once back at the hostel we just sat around and read, wrote in our journals and rested more before going into the hostel kitchen to make dinner. It was quite hard to cook the kangaroo as there was quite a lot and if you over cook it then it just goes chewy. I managed to get it pretty right though but because of the illness I ended up not being very hungry although Jennie did it all of hers. I felt really rubbish then we just washed up and watched a bit of Armageddon which they had put on on a small outdoor cinema screen.

We then headed back to bed and got an early night once we had made sure we were all packed up and ready to leave Australia. Maybe not the most exciting last day to have but it was very much needed.
