We didn't really get up to much today. We treated ourselves to a long overdue lie in as for once we didn't have to check out or be ready for a tour to start. When we did finally get it together we headed out to ABC travel to confirm our place on the Whitsundays tour tomorrow and collect our boarding passes. All we had to do once there was complete a couple of forms and then we were good to go.

The weather started off quite nice for a change so we headed down to the lagoon again. We spent quite a lot of time there but by about lunchtime it got quite cloudy and there was a light drizzle in the air again. We got ourselves some lunch and returned to our dorm. A girl called Gemma from Scotland had just checked in so we got chatting to her for a while. She is travelling around like us and is heading to New Zealand after she finishes touring Australia. Later that evening, another guest arrived. A guy called Eric from the Netherlands. As there was a free BBQ at the hostel tonight if you bought a drink from the bar, we all decided to head over together and tuck in. However, the BBQ was much like our other free dinners and consisted of a burger in a bun. Still, beggars can't be choosers and all that!

That being said, the burger didn't quite satisfy the hunger and so we ended up going back to the same bar as last night. This time I ordered the chicken schnitzel and Rikki had the steak. While we were waiting for our food to arrive we saw a girl called Sarah who we'd met on Fraser Island sat a few tables away from us. She soon saw us too and beckoned us to come join her. She had just returned from her tour of the Whitsundays and was with the rest of their tour group as a after party type thing. She told us we could share their free drinks which is always a pleasant surprise! We spent the rest of our evening with them before returning to our dorm to prepare our things for our own Whitsundays tour that would begin tomorrow afternoon.
