So we drank our bottle of Passion Pop wine which was pretty mediocre but perfectly alright for only $7. We couldn't find anyone else around which we sort of thought as a good thing in one sense as it meant we could go to the two bars we wanted to.

We went out and quickly made our way to China Town area where the two bars were situated. First we went to The Croft which as described in an earlier post was a Science-lab themed bar. It is situated right at the back of a dark alleyway but we felt completely fine walking through to it. It was $10 to get in which was quite expensive but we knew we wanted to try the bar out. It was quite quirky, small and dingy but really nice and it had lots of test tubes and chemistry-themed apparatus as displays. We both ordered a Melon Ball Cocktail which came with a syringe that you use to drink your cocktail. It was a bit of a gimmick but still a really good idea and was fun drinking out of a syringe.

Then we moved onto the other bar, Berlin which was on the second floor of a slightly dodgy looking building. We had to ring a door bell to get in and were met by a waitress who seated us at a small table and gave us a cocktail menu with no price on it! Thus we were a bit nervous but still ordered: me a Love Paradise and Jennie a Peach on the Beach. They arrived and looked very quirky. Mine came with a little heart lolly and Jennie's came in a jar. They were very nice and both had unusual tastes by were really nice. Thankfully the cocktails were $19 which was expensive but we thought it could have been a lot worse.

Before leaving we wondered from East Berlin, where we were sitting to West Berlin which was a lot more rugged and less fancy but still characterful.

After we left, on our journey back we encountered a very drunk man at the traffic lights who was very sweet and for some reason we decided to get him a bottle of water. We then just chatted for a little bit and then he decided he wanted to go home so we headed on.

It was a really good night and we found a busker dressed in a cuddly tiger costume so I got a got a photo with him and we also found a busker singing Bruce Springsteen which made Jennie's night!

Overall, great night in Melbourne and we are really falling in love with this city.
