So continuing on from Jennie's previous post, once we got back to our hostel we decided to go and find a Coles and buy stuff for dinner. Yet again we thought we would do something with pasta and progress a bit further so bolognese was on the menu. We bought pasta, a jar of sauce and some mince and it was pretty good. During our hunt for ingredients, we noticed that cloud was quite quickly drifting across the sky and in about 5 minutes whilst we were in Coles, it went from just cloudy to absolutely chucking it down with rain. We got quite soaked in the short walk (or run!) back to our hostel.

This put us a little in doubt as to whether we would still go on this bar crawl but a girl in our room called Jo was still going to go so we agreed to brave the rain. We met the rest of the group which was pretty big in reception and all got a free glass of sparkling wine. Another girl called Emmy and a group of Austrian guys who were on the walking tour were also in this group so we got chatting to them. There was a huge mix of people in the group as well as some really loud, annoying girls who said they were from Brighton - bad luck Jennie!

Anyway, after our drink we got going to the first bar which was the furthest away. It was quite a nice place where we could chat without loud music and all got a free mug of beer and then we bought a vodka and lemonade in the happy hour for $5. After spending an hour there and feeling much more relaxed and enjoying talking to everyone, we moved on to the next bar where we got a free shot and a few of us agreed to all do tequila! That bar was really nice and full of character and we chatted more to everyone before moving onto the final place where we got another free drink. Bargain for our measly $5 to pay to go on the tour! We stayed out till about midnight since we had booked the Phillip's Island tour for the next day and also because we went to another place after as a small group but they refused me entry for wearing a t-shirt! So Jennie, Emmy, another girl and I went back to our hostel and slept pretty quickly.

We had a really good night and I think this is becoming one of our favourite hostels as it really treats us well. Also last night, we were telling people about an idea of getting a small group together and going to the Berlin and The Croft bars as they sound really interesting on Saturday night. A few people seemed up for it so hopefully it'll work out.

Hope you all slept well, much love and more soon,

Rikki x
