Just got back to the hostel after our animal themed excursion and boy! have we seen a lot of animals. The main zoo was well up there with the other zoos I have visited. It offers the chance to see so many different animals. We saw otters, lions, white tigers, giraffes, elephants, some many monkeys and even a giant panda bear (which is one i can tick off my list to see). What's really cool about the zoo was that at certain times of day they let you have your picture taken with some of the animals, so naturally we stood along a group of orangutans for our portrait :) and we didn't even have to pay for the privilege as they let you use your own camera so no need to buy the professional shot.

The night safari was also a really great experience. We started off by seeing the Creatures of the Night performance show which was actually rather funny and entertaining. Not so much when they brought out the boa constrictor and walked it through our aisle though! Especially as we avoided the snake house earlier in the day as we're both not too keen on the slithering beings. Once the show ended we queued for a tram that takes you around the park and shows you all the animals like elephants, wolves, hippos, hyenas and such. All in all we both agreed it was a really great experience and something so different from anything else we've come across.

This is our last night in Singapore, we fly to Perth tomorrow evening so tomorrow's task is to find a fitting Singapore souvenir.

Wish us luck!
