The good news is that we saw some interesting sights along the diversion way, the bad news is the outlet store had items that were 70% off - which put some jewellery pieces into the "just can afford it" range!
Upon arrival into Cesky Krumlov the GPS started to falter as the roads turned to cobblestone paths and the widths became narrower. When it became obvious the way ahead could only be undertaken on a scooter, I deduced that either it was time to walk or that a wrong turn had been taken. After some deft manoeuvring, our car was turned around and using the process of elimination, eventually the GPS announced "you have arrived".
This late 13th century village is a UNESCO world heritage site and its structures are mainly in Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque styles. The core of the old town is within a horseshoe bend of the Vltava River and the imposing Cesky Krumlov Castle is to its northern side.
