I'm writing this entry from the beautiful island of Phi Phi. I say beautiful, 75% of it is, the other 25% is pretty much split between rubbish tip and building site! However, this was the second worst hit place in Thailand when the Tsunami struck, so I think we'll let them off! Anyway, the sea is without doubt the clearest and bluest we have seen yet. We got here just after midday today and decided to go up to the highest viewpoint we could find - just to remind ourselves that we were staying in one of the most beautiful places in the world, not London after the Blitz! To cut a long story short, we went up a hell of a lot of steps in the midday sun but were rewarded by an awe inspiring view, then I (Sam, if you hadn't already guessed!) decided it would be a good idea to go down another way....we got lost in the forest. Pipe was surprisingly relaxed about my little faux pas - he is getting used to them...and I his! After a few curses, slips, and insect bites (we were wearing swimming shorts and flip-flops...ring any bells Dool??!) we made it out to a very nice secluded beach and got a taxi boat back to where we belong!

Let's go back in time a bit, just to confuse you! We left Koh Phan gan with tired eyes, a hangover, and heavy with sweat, but rather lacking the will to live! We went to Krabi and celebrated escaping the clutches of the Sam Song bucket with a pizza - we're allowed to be naughty when we're hungover! - we made up for it all the next day - we always do! - with an early day trip to Railay for rock climbing. I would say it is my favourite place so far. It's so small, you can walk from East to West in five minutes, but they've got some of the best climbing around! I, as a veteran of about four indoor climbs and various drunken clambers up trees, fences; statues and bus stops in Loughborough, managed a few credible scrambles to the top, not without the help of our quite scary instructor! Pipe, an absolute novice, couldn't help but use those big guns of his and promptly knackered himself out after two minutes - it's all in the legs you see! Anyway, it was great. Then we had a quiet night in watching the footy on our TV in our room - we are slumming it really! Liverpool's defeat to Everton was a shock I must add! This is our lost post from Thailand, it's a boat trip around Phi Phi and its sister islands then off to Malaysia! Speak to you all then! Love and kisses, Sam and Pipe.
