Upon arriving in Ko phan gan and trekking for close to half an hour in the searing heat fully loaded with our backpacks we booked into the coolest hillside apartments which we had to cross the oldest rickety bridge imaginable to get to! After being ceromoniously barked at by the 5 guard dogs there (which we later named and loved!), we set the basic tone for the island which was to do very little but lie on one of the awesome beaches during the day, and get a lil' tipsy in the evening on the locals finest buckets of sang-som!! It was like Malia/Zante/Kos (take your pick!) all over again but with a crew of only 2!!
This lead up to the evening of the 7th on which the legendary monthly Full Moon Party occurs

! This amounts to 8-15,000 people dancing on the beach until the sun rises (we lasted till 9.30 am - credible im sure you will agree) surrounded by fire dances and all sorts!! Myself (Pipe of course!) not being a crazy techo Dutch raver was a little sceptical about the party but can honestly say it was awesome and would wholeheartedly reccommend it to anyone!
This was followed by rising a mere 2 hours later to catch a taxi/ferry/taxi to Krabi/Railay for a few days of R&R!!!
