After a amazing comfortable journey on the sleeper train we arrived bright and early into Surat Thani. Even though we had been travelling for over 18 hours (we got the train from Bang Po - a tiny Thai town who had never seen white people before - caucasian celebrities!!!!) there was still a couple more taxis and a ferry to catch before we arrived in Ko Samui.

We got to the beach front and got a supremely rustic 'A' frame bungalow literally 4m from the lapping waves! The weather in Ko Samui is by far the best we have experienced with the thermometer reguarly hitting 35oC!!

After soaking up some of the rays for the remaining half day, the following day we headed to the waterfall. An enjoyable but challenging 1 hour trek lead us to another beautiful waterfall in which we bathed and Sam's daredevil climbing instict took over as he made an extremely credible ascent of a tricky scale! Basic A-frames - it's all about location though!

!

At night time we hit the strip of the town we were staying in (Lamai) and have never seen so many lady boys in one place - much worse than Bangkok - there really must be nothing for the local men to do on these islands!!

Next stop is the happening island of Ko Pha ngan for the legendarily crazy full moon party!!

Over a hundred visits to the site - cheers everyone, nice to know we are loved!!

evening
alrite chaps. so you're in Thailand are ya? i wondered why you were both ignoring my phone calls!

nah, looks quality lads, keep up the good work! not too much going on here, apart from the fact that west ham will now win the premier league this year, so thats good.

a few of us have played a bit of golf recently. no club throwing from kk as yet, but he's come pretty close!

erm, what else? oh yeah i went to old trafford for the eng/andorra game - marvellous stadium, just didn't realise how bad andorra were! they played like a pub team!

right, enough waffling,

all the breast and keep warm.
