After a surprisingly enjoyable 11.5hr flight we arrived in the crazy city of Bangkok for the start of our adventures! The heat was immense as we stepped off the jet - the humidity here is something else!! After locating a very cheap and cheerful hostel (6 quid per night!) we dumped our bags and were ready to explore. As we were going to my room in the biggest stroke of luck ever we bumped into my uni mate from reading Aaron and his mate who were staying in the same apartments in a room below! As we were on our first night, it was their last and also sam's birthday we went out for the night to sample the delights and after fried beef and green curry's we moved on to the local Thai whiskey - Sung Som!
After rolling in at 7am with little sleep from the previous nights flight the following day was one of the hardest ever and we struggled to carry out our grand plans for the day
After the kickboxing we went to pat pong market with promises of seeing ping pong shows, much to our surprise there were very few tables, nets and bats and it was difficult to determine the winner ;o)!! It certainly was an eye opener!
It was a bright and early start today and we quenched our thirst for culture by visiting the thai grand palace which really was an amazing spectacle - the amount of bling there was untrue - Fiddy would have been jealous!
We then moved on to another Buddhist temple and marvelled at a gold Budda statue which was about 50ft tall! After this we felt we had earnt some stress relief from the blazing 35oC heat and got a traditional thai massage which was an hour of pure heaven!
We are due to leave Bangkok tomorrow morning with a 6 hour bus trip East to Ko Chang - Bangkok is an awesome city and we will say farewell with some more thai whiskey tonight no doubt but a 8am start prohibits excess!!
I know this is my first post and i apologise for the lack of photos - i just plugged my USB in after typing all this and the lady informed me the USB is broken on all her computers - cheers!!!
Hope all is well back home - stay classy UK

Sweaty Pipe on Kho San Road
! After feeling better in the evening we salvaged the day by going to the local Thai kickboxing arena which was really good watching from the VIP ringside seats! This also included a photo with the champion of the evening too! After the kickboxing we went to pat pong market with promises of seeing ping pong shows, much to our surprise there were very few tables, nets and bats and it was difficult to determine the winner ;o)!! Cool...
Sup bruv, thought i'd get involved and be your first comment. Sounds awesome, you don't seem to be wasting any time, tho i think if you keep that pace up for 3 months you may struggle!
Am rather jealous, still yet to see a sunny day in the grim north..
Enjoy Ko Chang.
