We finally moved out of our flat on the 13th of March, which ominously was a Friday. But were not to superstitious so it went fairly ok.

On the day we moved out we went to the Lake District for the weekend, the lakes are one of our favorite places in the UK and I will genuinely miss them, if your visiting the UK for the first time you should defiantly take a look. The reason for the visit was to take our Australian and Kiwi friends who have been here for a year, who along with friends from Leeds we met traveling on a tour a few years ago.

So the goodbye tour had begun, we were still working our notice while living in the van. We were sleeping between my works warehouse and my Dads car-park. It was still a bit cold but you could tell spring was close.

After two weeks of work and goodbye drinks in Manchester it was off Stoke for another week of goodbyes. I thought I would be fine with all the goodbyes but after so many the emotion of what your doing builds up I guess. The farewell tour had been quite draining and maybe we should have done it a bit quicker. But it was good to catch up with friends and have a bit of time with family before we went.

So after Stoke it was one last family visit to Hereford on the 8th of April we finally left the safe harbor of friends and family and we were on our own. After years of planning to get to this day was very strange. A little part of me thought it would never come, another part of was nervous it had come. But on the whole we were excited and raring to go...
