Where I stayed
In summary we have met some great people and had some exciting adventures along the way resulting in us no longer feeling as green as we did when we first checked into the YHA Moscow exactly two months ago.
Like Vietnam, Cambodia has been at war relatively recently but tourism here has not quite taken hold as much. Cambodia is certainly a country of reflection, where past and present sit side by side. Side-by-side like magnets and therefore trying to break free of yesterdays evil force in favor of today and the future. A smile is never far from the Cambodian's faces and considering the heinous crimes many have witnessed, they are so welcoming and relish a brighter future!
We still have so many more places to see and are looking forward to bring you stories from them all via this portal. After Cambodia, Thailand will feel a little easier to travel through which has its upsides and its downs. We are so looking forward to seeing new places and especially bringing those listening in 'Tales from Laos'.
