This city map is very deceptive. Everything looks like walking distance on the map... but they are miles apart. We sure need a car here if we want to see anything at all... We here and we are ready for the Cattle Drive of Fort Worth... but first we must stop by the Culture District. Yes, Fort Worth, Live Stock Exchange capital, does have a culture district!!! It seems many major buildings there named after Will Rogers. He almost sound like a patron saint of Fort Worth. Either that or he had rolled out some serious dough for them. Who knows... this place is wide opened. Too much land and too little few buildings.

The first item on the agenda is the Cowgirl Museum... are they kidding? Maybe they are... This place sure looks like it is intended for little girls. Kim is too OLD for this!!! We are out of there after a quick walk around. Not much to see... might as well go and watch those longhorns chewing the grasses... Like Lady Bird Wild Flowers Center, we want our refund!!!

We started to doubt if there is any culture venue to see here. Our next culture experience is KimBell Museum... we are not sure this place is any good, but the admission is free and not to forget the audio tour is also free of charge. What more can we ask for. This place is a gem. Like going to someone house and see their little private art collection. Not too big not too small. Enough of everything for everyone to enjoy. We do not have to rush around to see each piece of art. Thumbs up from us! The museum cafe is not to miss. They have the unusual concept -- pick your plate (small - $8, medium - $9, large - $10) - and choose you choices of any or all: quiche, sandwich, salad, Texas slaw, etc... if we can put all those on our plate, then they are ours to take... and all come with soup and drinks... Wow! This is a welcome break for us. There is a pettie lady, named Judy, coming around to check and to see how all the patrons doing... sweet woman! She sure make us feel special.

We are heading for the Stockyards Historic District to view the last cattle drive for the day. Sounds touristy? Of course it is!!! These guys put on the show twice a day, @11:30AM and 4:00PM, as long weather permitted. This place is surrounding with steakhouses, saloons, rodeo venues...

Billy Bob's - its claim to fame as the 'World Largest Honky Tonk'. We gotta check it out of course. Why not? It is truly a place for HONKY TONK. It has hosted many famous country singers, pops stars... But we are not here for a HONKY TONK GOOD TIME. We are here to experience the ambien... quick flash we are out. It is time for the main stars of the Stockyards District, the Longhorns... walking down the Stockyard Station. Put on their cool faces and longhorns as they are sure belong here before tourists like us ever show up!!! Moooooooo...

Steakhouses here can turn any one to a beef eater.  After Keith fills his stomach with beef, we are ready for the rodeo show. We cannot be in Texas without seeing a rodeo show... The fresh smell of cows is invigorating... one night long of rodeo show makes enough memories for us to last a life time...

Another loooong day in Texas. Hee Haw!!!
