We are not ready to leave the Austin just yet, home of the weird. We are here explore more of the noted landmarks like Zilker Park and Lady Bird Wild Flowers Center. Before going there, we must stop by the headquarter of Whole Food Market for some picnic foods. It sure is a market for the more affluent. This place sits on N. Lamar and 6th Street, surrounding by more up-scale condos and apartment buildings. East of 1 street is another story, soup kitchen... poorer neighborhood... this truly closer to reality. Yep... the rest of the world is not neat and clean.

Zilker Park is all dried up and unattractive at this time. Why? We don't know... beside Texas is in a drought condition. There are signs posted: "Open Fire Ban" in some places of Texas. Let's go to Lady Bird Wild Flowers Center... maybe we have better luck there. Wishful thinking... there are no wild flowers during this time. It is more like visiting someone backyard. We almost want to ask for admission refund. What a waste of time, but we did take advantage of this place for a small picnic. We also discover that the neighborhood surrounding this area is well kept and pleasing to the eyes.

Enough of Austin already, we are ready to move on to something new and fresh. A city typically becomes old to us after a few days. We are ready to Fort Worth!!!

But... first, did we say that we are here to keep Texas weird? Yep! Keith has decided the Bagdad Cemetery, near Georgetown, is a must visit, the one from Texas Chainsaw Massacre, what else? Of course, Kim has to keep the Crazy Brit's jumping to a STOP here. There is a limit on where he can jump and cemetery is OFF LIMIT!

We are heading north to Fort Worth on I-35. Like any driving in Texas, it takes forever. We pass by Waco. It is bigger that we thought. This place has been made infamous by Davidian religious cult. Traffic is long at time because of accident... and hot sun does not help either. Plenty of impatient drivers jumping the road's shoulder to the parallel road. Crazy!!!

After few hours, we are here at last... Fort Worth... only about half hour West of Dallas. We need to look for Main and 2nd streets, where our hotel located. Right in front of UNO, Chicago style pizzeria. But we are not going to park at the hotel, which would have charge us the going rate for parking but that would cost an arm or so... Just a few blocks away, we able to find free night and weekends parking space. Who would not love that!!!

What a fancy hotel! We sure feel under-dressed and out of place. What is new?!!! We are not here to dress to impress anyone, but we are here to be comfortable and to enjoy ourselves in this city and experience all that of quintessential Texian things. Sitting by Sundance Square... For what is used to known as Hell's Half Acre, red light district of the Live Stock Exchange capital. We could not even imagine. is just a special treat for us. It is late and we are exhausted. The only thing we can squeeze in now is a improv show over Four Days Weekend...

Another long day in Texas.... Howdy Y'all!!!
