Now in southern Arizona, we stayed at one of our favorite campgrounds called Gilbert Ray CG inTucson Mountain Park just south of Saguaro National Park in the middle of a cactus forest.  The dry warm but not hot weather felt good for the bones after a cold spell up north. Are we turning into winter whimps?
It is always so quiet here and, in November December, not very crowded either.    Warm for first few days then the cold front finally came in so winter is officially here. It's all relative as we view the cold weather back east and up north (refer to previous paragraph).

After the first week, We also drove CharLi over to Rincon West for two days to perform quarterly house cleaning and monthly laundry.

We do this annually in December here because it is half price with Passport America and the park has a quiet safe peaceful vibe, however, this year the airport takeoff noise and also military jets from Davis Montham seemed always present and the noise really got to us. We were considering the possibility of buying a park model  sometime in the future here but not any more.

We visited Arizona Sonora Desert Museum every day to see the animals and learn more about the desert areas (link here to photos).

My main project this time was to video the Raptor Free Flight with iPhone.   I have published a 90 second video on youtube.  Here is the link

A highlight of this visit was the new Stingray Touch exhibit at the Desert Museum.  I added a video (link here) and put a couple of photos in the album below.

We now move over to the north side of Tucson for a while to enjoy the Catalina Mountains.
