Day 22 - Here we are now in the outback of central Nevada.  ALONE IN CAMPGROUND, 100 miles west of Ely, 109 miles south of Elko, 100 miles north of Tonopah, 110 miles sw of Winnemucca, 165 miles east of Reno. How's that for middle of nowhere?

To get here e e drove south of Battle Mountain on I-80 on 305 then at Austin, NV we turned east on Highway 50 over the Toiyabe Mountains.  We found a free BLM campground at Hickison Petroglyph area about 13 miles east of Highway 376.  Hiking around we were able to see essentially 100 miles in most directions.
