So, this should be one of my last entries from Nairobi - I think my time is done here. I have decided to cut the time short with the school, even though that was one of my purposes to come here - and move on. I think it wasn't coincidence that I ran into the school director, Mrs. Mary Ngugi on the plane. I think I served my purpose for being here, as I have donated the computers (pics coming) and am finishing up this weekend with the remainder of the donations and interaction with the school. It's time to move on.
The plan is: finish up with the school at the end of this week, go with Boniface (local Kenyan artist) to climb the 4800m Mt. Kenya (2nd largest mountain in Africa (I think)) and then move it on to Rwanda. Hard to find a place to stay there as Rwanda isn't really on the map with the 'popular' hostel movement.
So far, I have drank more here in a month and a half that I have in my whole life, I am certain. If there is a way to accelerate liver cihrossis (sp), I have done it in spades. I just hope my body doesn't give out before the end of this trip!
This is the 'NEW' revised plan, methinks, which is probably completly different from Plan 'A' now.
1. Kenya -> Rwanda
2. Rwanda -> Bolivia
3. Bolivia -> Argentina/Chile/Some interesting S.A. country
4. xxx -> Australia / NZ
5. Austrailia / NZ -> China
6. China -> Germany (visit new friends)
7. Germany -> USA
8. USA -> Maritimes (East Canada)
9. Martimes and work my way back home
There are many other places I planned on and am honestly making this up as I go, hoping the money doesn't run out too early. I am looking for tastes of new cultures and at the same time, some tastes of my own. One thing I have experienced as I may have said before, is that the longer I am amongst other countries, the more I appreciate my own. I am looking to discover my own country and see all the splendor that Canada has to offer. If you are looking to amazing vistas, landscapes and the like - honestly, Canada has almost everything you are looking for (that I have found so far)- you really don't need to travel around the world when we have everything in our own back yard.
I miss everyone and look forward to coming back once this is all done. The shop is changing tonnes and it would be good to unload the some of the weight from The Paisley. Will keep you posted! Looking forward to hearing from you on facebook and the like!
