After a long train trip (long being comparitive.. it was only just over an hour) I arrived at the hostel to find Heather there checking in. I guess that means she won the race - but only by 5 mins or so! The hostel was really nice though. It was part of a hotel, so it had a nice 24hr reception, large pool, and all sorts of facitlities. I was in a room full of irish - I could tell immediately as I never saw them without a beer in hand - I was also in with one swede who had eaten too many hash cookies and was feeling a little worse for wear. We all had no idea where he got them from, or how many he had, but he was lieing on his bed grasping his stomach in pain and asking for someone to call an ambulance!! The paramedics came, and the next time I saw him was at 6 in morning and he was fast asleep. Go figure!?

That night I ended up having a quiet beer with the Irishfolks, and talking to some stunning girls from Denmark.... The more girls I meet from this area the more motivation I have to go there!! Guess where im planning on going in Europe?? Nuff said.

I ended up starting the morning almost as bad as the previous one. This time due to the combination of me using my old nackard phone as an alarm and me sleeping like stone giant... I.. well... didnt wake up. What did wake me up however was the bus driver calling me wondering where I was. LUCKY for me this time he was a nice fellow, and waited while I hap hazardly scrambled my stuff together and made a record check out from my hostel. I made the bus! Only just tho. It turns out the plane was running an hour late too.... ahhh... so goes life.

Anyway, its a little odd thinking that im FINALLY out of Australia. Ive kinda come to love the place and call it home. But, as I now say.. Home is where you hang your hat - I just have many hats. Many hats = many homes, and Australia will always be one for me now. It was also GREAT to get to opportunity to see some of aussie before I left too. If anyone is thinking about traveling Australia, I highly reccomend it!!! Its a little more expensive to travel than Asia or South America, but the back packer trail is set up well here with some awesome hostels (and i mean AWESOME, some of them are flasher than a lot of hotels!), really beautiful places to see and lots of swedish, germans, english, and irish to meet en route.

I really love Australia... It would be a fantastic place if it wasnt for all those australians! :P (Sorry guys, but as a Kiwi it is obligatory to give aussies some stick)

Next stop: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.... Cant wait!
