Ok.. so I said I was gonna leave... Ive had the leaving party... Ive gone to the airport... I said goodbye... I got on the plane.. and now im here.. and THIS is what ive been up to.....
first of all I got through customs at Sydney airport pretty quickly and got out and thought... shit.. now what??? I managed to catch a train to where I was supposed to go, then haphazardly found the street that my backpackers and managed to somehow find the address. Turned out that my first hour in Sydney wasnt too bad! It was about 4 in the arvo at this starge and with me still being tired from the night before I decided to aimlessly wonder about the city

. I came accross a supermarket n an underground mini mall called Coles... and their slogan is "you'll love Coles"... and I did!! With me being the cheapskate that I am I decided to buy enough food for a week so that I didnt have to eat out anywhere.. and it so far its working brilliantly! I love Coles!Wednesday was the first day of my course that im doing here in Sydney, but it didnt start untill 6pm so I had most of the day to myself. I sored myself out with a weekly bus/train/ferry pass so i could go around the city as much as i liked all for one fee - and this was brilliant! I had unlimited trips on Sydnes busses, trains and ferrys.. and the trains here are GREAT!! SO EASY!! Anywho,managed to wonder up to the water front and then took a ferry ride accross to Manly (manly is kinda like the devonport of auckland.. but a bit flasher, and with a nicer beach) for the hell of it. The ferrys here are really good too, but not too much different from auckland, apart from these massive big onld boat kinda ferrys.. :D
Thursday I went to paddys markets which is a nice BIG market place in the city... heaps of cheap stuff!! :D and later on I went to see friends from work, Aki and Dale, and their new baby in a suburb called Deewhy. Its on the northshore about 20 mins buss from Manly, but closer to 50 mins buss from the city

. And anded up being late to my course that night cos Aki gave me the wrong information about the buses!!!Friday - (today.. or the day I am writing this) Its been a beautiful day! 24 degrees and not a cloud in the sky!! So.. I decided to mission it out to Bondi beach. Its pretty nice out there!!! Even for September there were a LOT of people on the beach, people swimming, surfers surfing, and ofcourse girls in bakinis!! Woohoo! :D So I soaked up a bit of the sun there, and now im back to do my course.
For all those of you who are wondering what course im doing, im doing a TESOL course - a course that trains you to be a teacher, teaching english as a second language. So far its been very good, an I have met some nice people all wanting to do a similar thing as me - that being teach english in Japan (or any other non english speaking country), but its also ging to make it A LOT easier for me in the future. :)
Anyway folks, I must finish now as time is running out and I have to get ready to go to my course again. Will write more later. I miss you all and hope you all are well.
