Spent some time with my wonderful sister, Beverley, and her family.  Beverley miraculously arranged for me to get some super cheap fares around Canada and I travelled to Quebec with my niece, Bregane (for 4 days).  I then went to the Canadian Rocky Mountains with Gill (Beverley's Mum) and we had an awesome time driving through the most amazing scenery that is the Rockies.  We came in along David Thompson Highway and stayed in Lake Louise for 2 nights where we visited my favourite lake, Lake Moraine - photos are pretty speccy! (see separate entry for Canadian Rockies).

Also saw Lake Louise a bit later but I preferred Lake Moraine as it was minus the massive Chateau that ruins Lake Louise (just my humble opinion).  Did hear an avalanche at Lake Louise so that was pretty cool.  Piccy's speak for themselves.  Lost count of the black bears we saw along the road (Gill had lived in Canada for 50 years and they were the first bears she'd seen so she was pretty stoked).

Also took a trip to Vancouver Island with Beverley where we stayed with her friend, Belkis in Sooke.  Visited Port Renfrew where we saw two gorgeous humpback whales so close to the rocks where we were walking - bloody amazing experience.  Butchart Gardens is also worth a visit (not far from the airport) if you're into your plants, gardens.
