After Wadi Ram, Mohammad and Fahdi had to return to Amman since they had to work on Saturday. Many people only get one day off a week here. Stephen and I double backed to Petra where we met up with Irene and Gunter.

Petra was first inhabited by the biblical Edomites, but later became the centre of the Nabatean civilization. It was later conquered by the Greeks, and then the Romans. All these ancient civilizations are evident in the same city. Nearby, Moses laid his brother Aaron to final rest on the top of the Jebel Haroun (Mount Aaron).
