We left Rio the day after the world cup final on a 22 hour bus to Foz de Iguacu to see  Iguacu falls on the Brazilian side.
As we left Rio it started to rain,we drove through a massive lightning storm on our way to Foz. The following day we took the short bus to the national park, and walked along the devils throat trail to the biggest fall, The sound and view was spectacular,The Brazilian side gives you a great overall view of the falls walking past many of the 275 falls that make up Iguacu. The weather was very overcast and still raining but it luckily cleared for 30mins just in time for our pics at the end of the trail, supplying us with the picture perfect rainbow!

The following morning we rose early and crossed the border into Argentina by taxi, swiftly checking into our hostel in Puerto de Iguacu before taking the bus to the falls.
Unfortunately still raining although this did not take away from the unbelievably magnificent view of the falls close up.They produce enough water to fill 40 olympic sized pools every minute! The Argentine national park side is beautiful and you could easily spend a couple of days walking all the different trails through the rain forest.

The next morning after nearly freezing in our room we took another 18 hour bus to Buenos Aires (our first in Argentina). Still raining, we settled in to  what is normally a long, almost painful process, but not in Argentina. The seats were the most comfortable we have been on and got better as we were served a 3 course meal and wine before cakes and champagne just before bed. After a couple of films we had a surprisingly comfy nights sleep, apart from the creepy lady who was eyeing up Heidi the whole way (she was like the evil clown from poltergeist). After Breakfast we arrived on time in Buenos Aires.

Still raining, It has rained continuously for 40 hours worth of driving.

Ttomorrow we will be visiting a ranch and doing some horse riding before deciding where next to head for our last 2 1/2 weeks in South America.

Enjoy the beautiful pics of Iguacu Falls
p.s. Phil couldn`t hack looking like Jim Carey from Dumb and Dumber any longer and has shaved his head, now looking like ross kemp!
