Zanzibar Airport
Zanzibar Airport
Spending 5 days on the island of Zanzibar now instead of the planned 3. It's nice to just relax and chill out, use the internet, and do some washing. I am spending 3 nights in Stone Town and 2 at Nungwi Beach. Since Zanzibar is know as the Spice Islands I went on a Spice Tour, which took us around the area to visit the Anglican Church, which is built on the site of the old slave chambers and market. It also took us out to the jungle spice fields to see how they grow the different spices on the island.

Other than that I have done much of nothing on the island as I started to come down with a cold yesterday and I am hoping for a quick recovery as we have a couple of long travel days ahead before we make to Malawi and relax by Lake Malawi. Spice Tour Guide - Ali

I am just glad to have finished updating the blog as it has taken me about 7 hours over 5 days on really slow computers to look over 600 photos, scale them down, upload some of them, and type in 4 different entries. Whew! Mercury's Restaurant
